About

kukooshka is a project aimed at promoting sustainable approaches to the handling of materials and things.

The first stage of the project implementation was an online store where you can purchase various goods:

- cosmetics;

- liquid soap in bottling;

- reusable alternatives to disposables;

- reusable feminine hygiene products;

- products of upcycle projects, projects that give things a second life;

- products of inclusive workshops.

The main principles of our work:

All products shown are not tested on animals. It is important for us that cruel methods of testing cosmetics and household chemicals become a thing of the past. Sometimes cosmetics manufacturers do not even think about asking laboratories to conduct tests using in vitro methods or on human volunteers. Therefore, it is important to form a request;

- a product receives the vegan label if, in addition to being formulated with plant origin, it has been tested on human volunteers or in an in vitro method other than using a motile cell culture;

- we publish the compositions of all products on our website;

- it is important for us that the products do not harm nature after being used by humans, for example, you will not find products with microplastic glitter;

- We also carefully look at the packaging; if a product is vegan, with a great composition, but comes in non-recyclable packaging (e.g. pouches, black opaque PET bottles), we will not be able to list the product in our store. Let's just say that 7 dispensers come across, but the dispensers can be reused;

- we supply bottled products in glass bottles from drinks collected from neighbors and take them back;

- we take back bottles from products purchased from us in order to send them back to the manufacturer for reuse. At the moment, from the presented brands, all packaging is accepted back by the Hungry Leshy and glass bottles - Mi&Ko;

- we consider it important to present upcycle projects with us. Now you can find vegan candles in former bottles from Varezhka_candles;

- we hope to offer you the products of inclusive workshops soon;

- the cover of the "for animals" section on the main page is always decorated by the one who is still waiting for his person ;-)
